Why a wedding photo sharing app should not need a download
Most wedding photo sharing apps ask guests to install something, create an account and remember a password — at a wedding, after a glass of champagne, on a phone with fifteen percent battery. Predictably, most guests never do it, and the photos stay scattered across a hundred camera rolls.
Fotografou works the other way around. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and land on a page with your names and one button. They pick photos and videos and upload them. Nobody downloads anything, nobody signs up, and nobody needs to ask the person at the next table how it works.
Where to place the wedding QR code so guests actually use it
Table signs are the workhorse: every guest sits down at some point, and a small framed card next to the centerpiece gets scanned all night long. Add one at the bar, one by the guest book and one at the exit — people take their phones out while they wait in line.
Fotografou gives you five ready-made designs for printing and sharing: a table sign, a card for the menu or favors, an Instagram story, a square post and a poster for the entrance. Each one comes with your names, the date and the QR code, sized to scan from arm’s length.
Photos of the ceremony, the reception and the after-party, in one place
The photo sharing album stays open for as long as you like. Many couples leave it open for two weeks after the wedding: that is when the best photos arrive, from guests who were too busy dancing to upload during the party.
Everything lands in a folder in your Google Drive in original quality, with no messaging-app compression. You can turn on a gallery so guests see each other’s photos, require your approval before anything shows, or keep the album private so only you see what arrives.
Make it a game: photo challenges and a friendly leaderboard
Optional photo challenges like "a photo with the newlyweds" or "the best dance move" give guests a reason to go looking for the shot instead of sending the first one. Points are capped per person, so nobody wins by uploading two hundred identical pictures.
