Common issues

I connected Google Drive, but the dashboard says I need to reconnect
This happens when access is revoked in the Google account (by you, a Workspace admin or a password change). Open Account in the dashboard and click Reconnect — it takes one click and doesn't change the event's address or QR code.
A guest says they uploaded, but the photo didn't show up
Check whether approval is on: if so, the photo arrives hidden and only shows after you approve it. If that's not it, check the free space in your Google Drive on the dashboard — when it runs out, we email you and pause uploads.
I paid, but the album wasn't published
Confirmation usually arrives within seconds, but it can take a few minutes. Keep the page open; it updates on its own. If it takes more than ten minutes, write to support with your account email and the time of payment.
I want to change the album address after publishing
That's not possible, on purpose: the printed QR code points to that address, and changing it would break every design already handed out. Before publishing, you can change it freely.
How do I stop guests from uploading?
On the dashboard, turn off "Accept uploads". The page stays live and explains the album is closed, instead of showing errors. You can reopen it whenever you like.
I want to delete my account and my data
Write to hello@fotografou.com from your account email. We delete your account data and albums; the files in your Google Drive stay with you.

Talk to a person

Write to hello@fotografou.com. We reply within one business day — and much faster when your event is close.

If it's about a specific album, include its address (the part after fotografou.com/) and your account email. That cuts the conversation in half.

To report an album with inappropriate content, use the "Report" link in the footer of the event page itself.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to install an app?
No. They point their phone camera at the QR code, the page opens in the browser and they upload right there. No app, no sign-up, no login.
Where do the photos and videos go?
To your own Google Drive, in a folder created automatically for the event. The files are yours: if you disconnect your account or let the publication expire, they stay exactly where they are.
What permission does Fotografou ask Google for?
The narrowest one possible: access only to the files and folders the app itself creates. We don't and can't see the rest of your Drive.
How much does it cost?
Creating, customizing and previewing are free. You pay $19.00 once to publish, and the page stays live for a full year. No subscription, no per-guest fees and no per-photo fees.
How do I pay? Do you charge sales tax or VAT?
You pay by card (or Apple Pay / Google Pay) on a secure Stripe checkout page — we never see your card details. Prices are in USD; if sales tax or VAT applies in your country, it is shown at checkout before you pay, and Stripe emails you the receipt.
If I change the design, does the printed QR code stop working?
No. Changing the cover, colors, message and settings doesn't change the album's address, so the QR code stays valid. Renewing keeps everything the same too.
Is photo quality preserved?
Yes. Files go from the guest's phone straight to your Google Drive, without the compression messaging apps apply. That's the difference between being able to print a photo and not.
Can guests see each other's photos?
Only if you want them to. The gallery is a switch you turn on or off, and you can choose to approve each upload before it shows.
Is there a limit on photos, videos or guests?
We don't charge for any of that. The practical limit is the free space in your Google Drive — and the dashboard shows how much is left, warning you before it runs out.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — if your album hasn't received any uploads yet, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of payment. See our refund policy for the details.
