How the shared photo album with a QR code works
Five steps on your side. On the guest side, just one: point the camera at the QR code.
- STEP 1
You create and print
Pick the event type, connect your Google Drive and download the design with the QR code.
- STEP 2
Guests scan
The phone camera opens the page. No app to install, no account to create.
- STEP 3
Photos land in your Drive
Each upload goes straight to the event folder, in original quality.
On your side
The five steps
1. Create the event
Pick the type — wedding, birthday, baby shower, graduation… — and enter the name, the date and who's being celebrated. The type sets the theme, texts and challenges: you can publish without changing a thing.
2. Connect Google Drive
One button. You authorize on Google's screen and come back with the event folder already created, inside a folder called Fotografou. No code to copy, no ID to enter, no folder to pick.
3. Customize
Cover, color, welcome message, visible gallery or uploads only, game mode on or off. Everything comes pre-filled — tweaks are optional, and the preview shows the result instantly.
4. Review and get your QR code
See the page the way guests see it, generate the QR code and pick one of five ready-made designs: table sign, card, story, square post or poster. Or create your own design with AI.
5. Pay and publish
$19.00 by card, once. The payment is confirmed automatically and the page goes live instantly, with the final watermark-free QR code, valid for 365 days.
On the guest side
One tap, done
A guest points their phone camera at the QR code. A page opens with the event name, the date and one big button: "Upload photos and videos". They tap it, pick files or take a photo on the spot, and upload.
To join the leaderboard, they enter a nickname. Prefer to stay anonymous? That works too — they just won't be ranked. There's no sign-up screen, no email request and no prompt to download an app.
During the upload, the bar shows real progress, file by file. If the signal drops in the middle of a video, the upload resumes from where it stopped once the connection is back.

Where everything ends up
The folder in your Google Drive
When you connect your account, we create a folder called Fotografou with a subfolder for each event. Files arrive there in original quality, with the name they had on the guest's phone.
The permission we ask Google for is the narrowest one available for the job: access only to the files and folders the app itself creates. We don't and can't see the rest of your Drive.
If you disconnect your account, the files stay exactly where they are — they were never ours. If the publication expires, the public page goes offline and the folder is still yours.
